Hattar had shared and posted on his fb page a somehow controversial caricature that pictured one terrorist thug enjoying the pleasures of heaven and addressing the Almighty . This was a mediocre caricature somehow and of a bad taste that could have remained unnoticed but that was considered by the Jordanian Court as insulting to the Divinity .
Of course , such a mediocre drawing could not have been as insulting to the Divinity as beheading children in the name of the Religion, but it is the same party that considered beheading children justifiable- religiously – that considered this mediocre drawing as insulting to the Divinity. This party has nothing to do with Religion – no doubt- but has to do with Intelligence Services .
Nevertheless , all Media and social Media fell into the trap of considering this crime as the result of religious intolerance rather than the result of an Intelligence conspiracy, The writer – Nahed Hattar- had apologized for sharing this mediocrity on his page and had removed the drawing , but still he was arrested and prosecuted after being released , and was waiting for the verdict when he was shot while climbing the court of justice stairs .
No need to say that immediately the reaction set the Religion – in this instance Islam – in confrontation with the Freedom of expression , and this is what is intended behind this crime , as it set Religion against Secularism and Islam against Christianity. At all fronts , this conspiracy seemed to have worked .
The killer who was caught happened to be a fanatic who made many visits to KSA before committing his crime , then the whole list unfolded . First, were targeted the Muslim Brothers, then the Wahabis and Salafis and others also . Those who were a little bit more intelligent accused directly the Jordanian rule of this crime and made it sole responsible for the crime .
As for the victim , he must have been targeted since a while and because of his secular stance and his great support to Russia and to the Russian military intervention in Syria, he seemed to be a good target that will fulfill the purpose of exposing Islam as the Religion of fanaticism and intolerance and Terror. And not only this, since this crime will also add glory to the secularist Martyr – the Christian secular writer and activist- who worked heart and soul in order to bring the Russian military force to Syria as a means to curb the forces of the Resistance of Iran and Hizbullah who were meant to reap victory over the thugs on the Syrian ground .
Whether the victim is a Martyr or not , it is for God to decide . But what we can say is that- through his liquidation- the darkest of conspiracies has found its way to the hearts , and his death will make sure that the scheme he shared in during his life , of promoting secularism at the expense of Islam, will continue and escalate, and his death will further what he had started in his life .
